Data Science for Business Analytics 2015 Roadshow

1 April 2015 · 1100 views

I am pleased that Microsoft have decided to sponsor my 8th annual business analytics roadshow, which makes it the 11th annual roadshow that I have delivered, this time focusing on data science, the subject I have been practicing for the last decade. The 2015 seminars and roundtables include the following sessions:

  • Business analytics with Microsoft data platform and Power BI vNext—a quick overview of the innovation and upcoming changes brought by the next version of Power BI,
  • Business value and purposes of data science—explaining why data science matters, who, why, when, and what of it,
  • Introducing Azure Machine Learning and Microsoft Data Science Concepts—a crash-course on the key concepts, like features and outputs, and a tour of the toolkit, including Azure ML Studio, SQL and, of course, Revolution R in RStudio,
  • Azure ML, SQL Server, and R algorithms—a tour of the key algorithm classes, presented from the perspective of a business use need.

Detailed agendas vary for each location, as they have been customised for each audience. Microsoft handle all logistics for the events, please contact your local subsidiary to register, and to review the final plan for the day. If anything is not clear, contact us, and we will let you know who is the person in charge of the event in your country. Please note, that all dates, times, and content are subject to change at the last minute, so that we can respond to any announcements and technology developments. It is possible that more locations might be added to the schedule. Check back here, register for our newsletter, or follow me on Twitter.
