I will be presenting my keynote, titled Attractive Business Intelligence, at the European SharePoint Conference 2013, taking place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 6 February. This presentation has been voted the very best BI session at the SharePoint Conference that took place in Las Vegas, two months ago, and it was attended by over 1500 attendees.
My keynote focuses on the fundamental aspects that make BI good: being attractive to the user, simple in content, and correct in the context of the information being presented. I believe in helping users comprehend and utilise information. Microsoft’s most recent BI technologies, such as the very new Power View in Excel 2013, and the greatly reworked SharePoint 2013, can add that special sparkle to your analytics that will pique your users’ interest, and can make them interact more deeply with your dashboards, charts, or reports, unlocking the meaning of the data being presented.
I am hoping to prove to you that BI can be attractive by showing 7 back-to-back demos of all of the buildings blocks of attractive BI, using SharePoint 2013, SQL Server 2012 SP1, and of course, Office 2013. Use the remainder of the conference to learn in-depth about BI with SharePoint, and register on our site to follow our growing library of training content—we always focus on the user.
